LOCATION: Southwest Austin (Bee Cave)
SCALE: HO
SIZE: 15' x 35'
The Denver, Santa Fe and Rio Grande is a HO scale model railroad built in a room over ther garage. This long and narrow room allows for “walk-in” design where the engineer can actually follow his train around the railroad but cannot see the entire layout at any point.

The DSF&RG represents the time period immediately after World War II. This gives the option to run both steam and early diesel locomotives. Once complete, the layout will incorporate 4 different railroads: 1) A portion of the double tracked Santa Fe main line in Colorado, 2) An interchange with the Denver and Rio Grande railroad, 3) The Twin Creek RR, a branch line connecting the Santa Fe and the D&RGW, and 4) The Denver & Rio Grande Western Narrow Gauge railroad.

The trackwork is mostly complete - including a complex dual-gauge yard - and scenery is also significantly complete.

The layout is on the second floor, accessed via stairs.
