The Goose Creek, Sour Lake & Western is set in the late 1930's and is a freelanced Rocky Mountain Railroad. The layout is a single level double folded dogbone design with a dual gauge yard. Also has a large logging area with spar tree and tracks of both gauges. The layout has been under construction since 2017 and is constantly changing as since John is now retired and able to constantly work on it. The railway includes several towns with associated infastructure and will have several mines, a sawmill and a stockyard.

The control is DC and is located upstairs and accessed by stairs.
